A magnifying glass is a simple visual optical device used to observe tiny details of an object. It is a convergent lens with a focal length much smaller than the clear visual distance of the eye. The size of the image of an object on the retina of the human eye is proportional to the Angle of view (Angle of view) of the object to the eye.
Magnifying glass is also called fire mirror. A simple optical equipment for obtaining an enlarged virtual image. It usually consists of a convex lens, a frame and a handle. When in use, the object is placed near the back of the lens (within the focal length), you can see the vertical amplification of the virtual image, which helps to distinguish the details, and is commonly used to watch specimens, drawings, negatives, photos, movie copies, etc. According to the curvature and the different refractive index of the glass used, there are 10X, 20X 30X of amplification.
